[Blade for streak carving that is indispensable for detail improvement]
It is a blade for streak carving that is indispensable for detail improvement of plastic models such as airplane panel expression. Precise polishing is applied to the specially shaped cutting edge to achieve both sharpness and durability. You can make new streaks or re-engrave high quality concave lines. Also, with a case that can store up to 10 blades. It is convenient to manage blades of each size by cutting out the color-coded thickness display part on the back of the blade on the package mount and putting it in the case. It is recommended to attach it to the optional streak carving blade holder.

#74143 MODELING FLAT CHISEL BLADE 2mm
This is a flat chisel blade. Made from HSS, it holds a superb edge which is great for chiseling, engraving and removing protrusions from flat surfaces. It also enables precision work in hard-to-reach parts of your model project. It is compatible with the Engraving Blade Holder (Item 74139), and Fine Pin Vise D-R (Item 74112).
• Material: High-Speed Steel
• Length: 25mm, blade width: 2mm, diameter: 2mm.
• A handy case is included for storage of the blade when not in use.
• Thicker protrusions should be filed down first, and this blade used for their final removal.
• Compatible with Item 74139 (recommended) and Item 74112

#74148 FINE ENGRAVING NEEDLE 20°
As its name suggests, this fine engraving needle has a pointed tip rather than the hooked one seen in our engraving blades. This allows easier scribing of curved details.
• Fine Engraving Needle x1
• Total length: 25mm. Shank diameter: 2mm. Needle point angle is 20°.
• Crafted from cemented carbide, with a precision finish.
• Recommended for use with dedicated holder: Item 74139 Engraving Blade Holder. Also compatible with Fine Pin Vise D (Item 74050) and D-R (Item 74112).
• Simply hold and pull lightly across the surface to score it. Repeat as necessary to achieve a clearly-defined result.
• Comes in a case that can hold up to ten needles, and separately sold engraving blades.

#74139 ENGRAVING BLADE HOLDER
This is a lightweight, ergonomically designed holder for Tamiya’s line-up of Fine Engraving Blades, Flat Chisel Blade, Fine Engraving Needle & Design Knife Blades.
• Engraving Blade Holder x1
• Length: 126mm, diameter: 6mm.
• Made from lightweight, durable aluminum, with a knurled grip section for error-free crafting. The chuck is made of nickel-plated brass.
• The holder’s slimline form allows it to be held like a pen.
• Blade insertion and removal is simple – just lightly pinch the chuck and rotate the handle.
• Comes with a protective cap that also stops the holder from rolling away.
• Compatible with Fine Engraving Blades, Flat Chisel Blade, Fine Engraving Needle & Design Knife Blades.
