Nactaron เป็นฮอปที่มาแรงที่สุดจาก New Zealand เป็นหนึ่งในฮอปยอดนิยมของหลายโรงเบียร์ชื่อดังในอเมริกา (เช่น Tree House, Other Half, New Belgium) นิยมเอาไปทำ Hazy IPA โดยใช้ร่วมกับ Citra และ Mosaic รวมถึงทำ Single hopped IPA เพื่อโชว์ Character ของ Nectaron ฮอปล้วนๆ กล่าวกันว่าความเข้มข้นของกลิ่นและรสผลไม้จาก Nectaron นั้นเทียบชั้นกับ Citra ได้เลย

ในระดับ Homebrewer นั้นเป็นฮอปที่หายากมากๆ (ณ เวลาที่เขียนข้อมูลปี 2022-2023) เนื่องจากผลผลิตไม่เยอะ และโรงใหญ่ๆ ซื้อไปใช้กันหมดจนเหลือมาถึง Homebrewer น้อย

สำหรับกลิ่นและรสของ Nectaron คือ Tropical fruits เน้นๆ อาทิ pineapple, passionfruit, peach, grapefruit

Nectaron hops are a New Zealand variety that went by the number HORT 4337.

Nectaron® is a full sister of Waimea and was developed in partnership with New Zealand’s Plant & Food Research and took over 17 years before the full release.

Nectaron® has a huge aroma of pineapple, peach, grapefruit, and passionfruit.

It is perfect for any fruit forward beer and performs really well when used in dry-hopping.
